Youk suspended 5 games

In all honesty, Youkilis has gotten away lucky with only being suspended 5 games after charging Rick Porcello of the Tigers last night and tossing his helmet at the 150 pound pitcher (video.) He did what had to be done (Porcello buzzed Martinez the at-bat before, tell me it wasn’t intentional and you’re lying) but I honestly thought the cost would be 7 games because of the helmet throw.
In addition to the suspension, John Smoltz has refused an assignment to Triple-A Pawtucket. The Sox now have to either trade or release the future Hall of Famer. An ideal move would be to trade him to somebody else but who wants a 42 yr old man that pitches batting practice for 4 innings? Nobody.
