Clay Buchholz makes an old man happy

My grandmother was recently moved into a hospice and despite what everyone says, they are a very depressing place. If you don’t know what a hospice is, well.. it’s generally where you go to die. They have given up on treating your disease/ailment and they just want to make your final days comfortable.

It’s the contrast of this sadness, and the happiness of this story, that has almost reduced me to tears. It’s a pretty long story but if you’ve got 10 minutes to spare, then read it. If you don’t have 10 minutes to spare, read it anyway.

Who knows, it might make you feel a little better about the Ortiz/Manny steroid news.
