Lester wants to stay with Sox forever

Joe Haggerty of the Boston Metro (yes, that annoying crap that they throw in your face every single time you get off the train) managed to score an interview with Jon Lester.
One of the questions was about if Lester planned on staying with Boston for the long-term. His response was pretty encouraging: “If they approach me we can work something out to not only be a Red Sox for the next four or five years, but for my whole career.”
I know that most players say things like that but with the recent signings of homegrown players like Dustin Pedroia (6 yrs.) and Kevin Youkilis (4 yrs.), it could be entirely possible.
If Lester stays healthy, he could honestly become one of the best starting lefties in the game. I don’t exactly need to give everyone a scouting report but his fastball, his cutter, and his curve are all top-notch. I wouldn’t mind having that in the Red Sox rotation for the next 12 years or so, would you?
