David Pauley designated for assignment

David Pauley is only 25 yrs. old but he seems so much older to Sox fans for some reason. It’s probably because of his career 9.53 ERA in the major leagues from having a bunch of streaky spot-starts, or it could be because he threw a gem against the Yankees in 2006 but lost because we had piss-poor relief pitching. Either way, I personally think it’s doubtful that Pauley clears waivers and makes his way to Pawtucket because he DOES have potential.
