If there is one thing that every baseball team needs, it’s relief pitching. The Red Sox have tried to put themselves up a leg on the opposition by pulling off a trade today with the Texas Rangers. Ok, to be honest, it’s not much of a trade but it’s been a slow baseball week.
Boston: Receives right-handed reliever Wes Littleton (6.00 ERA in 2008 but a 1.73 in 2006 and 4.31 in 2007)
Texas: Receives cash or a player-to-be-named later.
