This sounds like a Disney movie waiting to be made.

A 16 yr-old Japanese girl has been drafted by a professional indie baseball team in Japan. Eri Yoshida, standing 5’5″ tall and weighing a minuscule 114 lbs., aced a try-out for the Kobe 9 Cruise earlier this week. Granted all she had to do was throw an inning without allowing a hit but I’m still impressed.

What does this have to do with the Red Sox? Yoshida is a side-arm knuckleball pitcher that wants to follow in the steps of none other than Tim Wakefield.

I love this game.
