Majority of Red Sox coaching staff back for ‘09
The Red Sox have announced that they’re going to be bringing back the majority of their coaching staff for next year. The one exception is first base coach Luis Alicea.
Pitching coach: John Farrell
Third base coach: DeMarlo Hale
Hitting coach: Dave Magadan
Bench coach: Brad Mills
Bullpen coach: Gary Tuck
I’m not sure why Alicea has been axed but [...]
Derek Lowe wants to return to Boston
I think of all the players that have played for the Boston Red Sox, Derek Lowe is the one that I miss the most. He managed to have dominant appearances as a closer AND a starter, wore his heart on his sleeve, and was a huge part in the first Boston championship since 1918. When [...]
Moving on as a Red Sox fan

TBS Sucks

You suck.
08 Red Sox playoff updated batting stances
The man with the most useless (but still interesting) skill in the world, Batting Stance Guy, has released an updated video for the playoffs.
I’m not sure what the best part of the video is.. Varitek striking out, Kotsay’s check-swing basehit, Youk being doused in sweat and awesomeness, or Coco Crisp charging the mound.
I love it [...]
And you thought we were done?
I’ll admit that there was a point in last night’s game where I was pretty sure the season was over. Being down 7-0 in the bottom of the 7th inning seems like one of those moments where you start wondering about free agents in the offseason and how the club will look in 2009.
Hell, I [...]
