It’s been a bit since I’ve done Friday Linkage. I got thrown off with the playoffs and all so this one might be a bit long (and Philly dominated.)
Fire Ned Colletti Now: Jeff Kent is such a waste of a roster space. I used to like him (only because he hated Barry Bonds) but seriously? Donating 15k to stop gay marriage?
All Things Philly Sports: Ya know that picture of Brad Lidge on the ground with his hands in the air after the final out of the World Series? Yeah, that was me in 04 in my living room.
Center Field: Kevin Youkilis IS Beantown.
MLB.com: Clay Buchholz is working on his stuff in the Arizona Fall League. Fingers crossed :\
Fire Brand: This poor guy got his car flipped after the World Series and is now begging Philly fans to help fix it.

Fire Ned Colletti Now: Ned Colletti says that the Dodgers are looking at a way to improve at catcher. WTF? The Red Sox will gladly take Russell Martin off your hands if you think you can get someone better.

1) It’s not so much Kent’s political beliefs that bother me. It’s that he’s willing to spend money on that but not dying kids that he’s seen before.
2) I really think it’s Varitek, and it makes me cry inside. McCourt and Colletti have a huge boner for Boston veterans that used to be good.
The list of things about Jeff Kent that bother me is massive. Donating money to stop gay marriage (yes, and not to help little kids) is near the top of the list.
I would be absolutely shocked if the team owning one of the top 3 catchers in the league, goes for Tek.
