Jonathan Papelbon will never cease to amaze me. Sure, his domination on the mound has become something that Red Sox fans expect to see but what he does after that is something of a dice roll. One moment he’s telling Yankees fans to screw off for heckling his wife, then he’s riverdancing while smoking a cigar, and don’t forget that video of him crossdressing in high school.
Well last night Papelbon did something expected, he set the record for most consecutive scoreless innings pitched in the postseason with 20.2 straight. Then he did something unexpected, he threw the record-setting baseball in the trashcan. Thankfully someone pointed it out to him and he reached into the trash and saved the ball.
Papelbon, you sir are a riot.
