Daisuke Matsuzaka to start game 1 of ALCS

Terry Francona has pegged Daisuke Matsuzaka as the starter for game 1 of the ALCS against the Rays on Friday. This is a pretty good plan by Tito because Lester would be on short rest, and Beckett probably needs some extra rest. If either one of them started, then Daisuke would get a LOT of days off in between starts.
Can’t go wrong.
