Bartolo Colon suspended

Remember that low-risk/high-reward signing of Bartolo Colon? Well it was only high reward assuming that he stayed in the US and continued pitching.
Bartolo Colon went to the Dominican Republic and decided to never come back (Pokey Reese syndrome!) The Red Sox have put him on the restricted list and won’t have to pay him any more money for the rest of the season.
The reason for why Colon decided not to return to the team is still a little unclear. Most people are suggesting that it’s because the club planned to use him in a release role and he wasn’t happy with that idea. However, I personally think it’s because he has found an all-you-can-eat fried goat buffet in the Dominican Republic and doesn’t want to leave.
