It helps to have a winning team and a small ballpark. I don't see the streak ending anytime soon. That's a good thing for the team but a bad thing for fans like me that want to go see 20 games a year :\

I give Red Sox fans a lot of shit for "Red Sox Nation", but this is impressive nonetheless.

Haha. I doubt Tek is going to read the site and see that, BUT you bring up a good point. He really looks like he's struggling just to make contact at times. He's been a lot better as of late (his AVG was even up to .230 a week ago!) but it's still sickening to watch.

It's hard to tell someone to relax when they're hitting like he is but it'd definitely help. Thankfully Kotsay and Bay are both bringing good wood to the team so Varitek's struggles aren't as big of a problem at the moment.

Hello. I have never tried this sort of interaction over the internet before. Want to see if my suggestion has any merit whatsoever and don't know where to send it for best effect so I'll quickly put it here then .
The catcher might improve his batting, at honing-in on the ball by using a slightly lighter bat and relaxing his swing. Looks too much like he's chopping wood out there.
