I doubt Tek is going to read the site and see that, BUT you bring up a good point. He really looks like he's struggling just to make contact at times. He's been a lot better as of late (his AVG was even up to .230 a week ago!) but it's still sickening to watch. It's hard to tell someone to relax when they're hitting like he is but it'd definitely help. Thankfully Kotsay and Bay are both bringing good wood to the team so Varitek's struggles aren't as big of a problem at the moment. Haha. The catcher might improve his batting, at honing-in on the ball by using a slightly lighter bat and relaxing his swing. Looks too much like he's chopping wood out there. Hello.
