Nancy Drew is hurt.. again

I tried to like J.D. Drew, I really did. Unfortunately he got off to a bad start with his poor performance and his injury woes.
This season he was on fire for the entire month of July. He was offensively on his game and even made a few amazing plays in right field. Unfortunately he’s only played 107 games out of 128 possible games this season.
News came out last night that Drew has a herniated disk in his back. This marks the 3rd time this season that Drew will miss a substantial amount of games due to back problems. Unfortunately for the Sox, he doesn’t want to go on the DL so he is going to try to ride it out until it feels better. (aka waste a roster space until he can play again)
His OBP is 3rd in the league, and his OPS is 5th. Unfortunately that doesn’t do the team any good if he only plays 3/4th of the games.

and just a few weeks ago you wanted to buy a drew jersey!
Boy was I silly. I thought things had turned around and maybe he wasn’t the whiny guy that everyone else said he was. I figured the only reason he missed so many games last year was because of his kid’s ailment.
