You can never EVER have enough pitching.

- Tim Wakefield is on the DL with back/shoulder problems
- Clay Buchholz has been horribly inconsistent
- Charlie Zink’s spot start turned into an 8 run explosion
- Justin Masterson has been converted into a reliever
- David Pauley’s lone start lasted 4.3 innings with 5 runs

Thank god the Red Sox picked up Bartolo Colon during the offseason. Colon, although he has missed considerable time this year, has been a great hole plug in the rotation.

Speaking of Big Bartolo, he is finally working his way back to Boston. In his rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket last night, Colon threw 4 no-hit innings while walking 2 men and striking out 2 as well. His velocity is still down a bit (he topped out at 90mph) but he was obviously hitting his spots and is making strides to return.
