Buchholz gets demoted

Clay Buchholz has performed horribly at the major league level this year. Maybe part of it is because he’s out on the town every other night or maybe part of it is because he’s spending too much time with his Penthouse pet. One thing is for sure though, he’s not controlling his damn fastball.
The velocity on his fastball is still there but when he wants to get it in the strike zone, he can’t do it. This is the pitch that his breaking stuff is supposed to work off of, not the other way around. It doesn’t matter how many times Varitek calls for the heat because Buchholz can’t get it anywhere near the plate. It’s infuriating to watch as a fan.
Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for Buchholz, the only time someone is going to be watching him pitch for a while is if they tune in to a Sea Dogs game. Yep, that’s right. Clay has pitched so poorly this season that they’re demoting him two entire organizational levels to Double-A Portland. Fun.
Side Notes: Buchholz has 7 losses in his last 9 major league appearances. This is the second time this season that he has been demoted in an attempt to get his head right.

It’s about damn time. What happened to him? Too early in his career to call him a one hit wonder - or in this case a no hit wonder. I can see us using him as trade bait next year, that is if anyone wants to take him after his horrible season. Buchholz more like Suckholz amirite?!?!?
Pretty ree-tee. They’re gonna have him work with some pitching coach in Double-A that they have faith in. Hopefully things turn around.
Also I laughed very hard at: “Too early in his career to call him a one hit wonder - or in this case a no hit wonder.”
You’re so witty
Leave the guy alone, he’s getting laid by a 10 and your jealous, bottom line.
Hardly jealous. It’s just fan-anger knowing that the guy has the potential to be a top of the rotation ace but can’t do it for whatever reason.
Also, let me explain to you how the rating scale works.
10 - Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model
9 - Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models
8 - Playboy Bunny of the Year
7 - Playboy.com Web Girls
6 - Penthouse Pets
5 - Porn Movie Stars
4 - Online Porn Stars
3 - MySpace Skanks
2 - Etc.
1 - Etc.
Get the point? Just because he’s dating a Penthouse Pet with silicone implants, doesn’t mean he’s with a 10. There are usually obvious exceptions (the random ugly chick in SI or the decent looking girl on MySpace) but this is pretty much how it goes.
You sir, have low standards.
Buchholz gets demoted…

[...] Reliever Chris Smith has been called up from Pawtucket to take the place of Clay Buchholz. Buchholz has been demoted to Double-A like we mentioned the other day in this piece. [...]
