Jimmy Fund Telethon

Today is the 7th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon at Fenway Park. I donated 40 bucks this morning (a small amount but it’s all I can afford) and I highly recommend everyone contributes the best they can. Not only will you help thousands of people, but the warm feeling that engulfs your chest is really nice.

Last year the Radio-Telethon raised 3.74 million dollars and their total since 2002 is close to 12 million. The goal for this year is 4 million.

I really don’t know what else to say about this. I’m sure everyone knows someone that has had a run-in with cancer so I don’t need to tell you how important the Jimmy Fund is.

If that’s not enough, they also have an auction where you can win a 2007 Boston Red Sox World Series championship ring. It screams ‘PIMP!’ from your ring finger whenever you walk into a room.
