Manny may be gone but I’ll never forget him. He made some amazing plays while in Boston, but he also had more than a handful of absurd moments.

20. December 10, 2001 - He whines about being uncomfortable in Boston so management increases the size of the clubhouse and creates a media interview room.
19. May 18, 2002 - ManRam does an injury rehab in Pawtucket and loses a $15,000 earring while sliding into third base. The grounds crew looks all over for it but only finds the stud.
18. September 7, 2002 - He chooses ‘Good Times (I Get High)’ as his at-bat song and it blares out of the Fenway speaker system while mothers cover the ears of their children.
17. August 29, 2003 - Manny does an interview with ESPN in which says that he would like to play for the Yankees. Red Sox fans all around the world feel their hearts break.
16. August 30, 2003 - In a game with the New York Yankees, Manny is too sick to play. He is spotted later that night socializing with Yankee player Enrique Wilson. Red Sox fans get sick to their stomach.
15. July 18, 2005 - He makes his first of many trips into the Green Monster while pitching coach Dave Wallace has a talk with starter Wade Miller. Manny barely makes it back in time for the next pitch, and Wade Miller still pitches like crap.
14. July 31, 2005 - Manny requests a trade out of town but it doesn’t get made. He then says he loves the city and doesn’t want to leave. That is followed up by a pinch-hit appearance and a standing ovation in that night’s game.
13. October 1, 2005 - Manny changes his mind again and requests another trade.
12. June 29, 2006 - Ramirez’s agent says that Manny wants to remain a member of the Red Sox for the rest of his career. Manny agrees, leaving all Sox fans with the feeling of being John Kerry’ed (flip-flopped.)
11. July 11, 2006 - He skips out on the All-Star Game because of a sore knee, prompting Bud Selig to publicly say, “If you are voted on the team, it’s a privilege, you ought to be here.”
10. September 1, 2006 - Manny misses 22 of the season’s final 30 games. He gets criticized for it and AGAIN requests a trade.
9. February 1, 2007 - Theo Epstein and company give Manny permission to arrive late to spring training due to a “family emergency.” It later comes out that Ramirez was supposed to appear at a car show during ST. Oops?
8. February 27, 2007 - Manny shows up at Ft. Myers early and in great shape. Everyone shoots confused looks to each other but don’t say anything in fear of him noticing what day it really is.
7. March 20, 2007 - He holds a press conference for the first time in months. The reason? He is selling a $4,000 grill on eBay and wants word to get out.
6. May 14, 2008 - After making a running catch in left field at Camden Yards, Manny leaps in the air and high-fives a fan. He then proceeds to throw out a runner at first base, completing a jaw-dropping double-play.
5. May 31, 2008 - Ramirez hits his 500th career homerun. Fans go nuts and everyone remembers why he is one of the best right-handed hitters of all-time.
4. June 5, 2008 - Kevin Youkilis and Manny get into a little scuffle in the dugout while cameras are rolling. They both publicly dismiss the moment and say that everything is ok.
3. June 29, 2008 - A report comes out that details how Manny pushed down 60+ year-old traveling secretary Jack McCormick for not getting him enough tickets to a road game.
2. July 21, 2008 - Just Manny Being Manny as he gets in trouble with a traffic cop for jaywalking after the game in Seattle.
1. July 30, 2008 - Manny quips “The Red Sox don’t deserve a player like me” to a reporter from ESPNDeportes. He is traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers the very next day. Bye Manny.
