David Ortiz could swing a bat by tomorrow

The club has announced that Ortiz may take a few swings off a tee tomorrow before joining the club on their road trip to Houston. The idea is to test out the wrist a bit while the doctors can still monitor him in Boston.

Even if things go perfectly, I don’t see him playing in the Astros series. If anything the team will probably send him on a short minor league rehab trip before he gets close to seeing any big league action.
