Inside The Ballpark: The 10 worst debut seasons by future All-Stars. Three Sox players are on the list. I’ll give you a hint as to who they are: bloody sock, 499 homeruns, and a no-hitter.
Fire Ned Colletti Now: Joe Torre really DOES have the hugest “man chest” I’ve ever seen. It is mildly disturbing and I think he might need a sports bra.
The Sports Hernia: If the names of Major League Baseball players were in the national spelling bee, I would be standing on the stage right next to that kid that fainted. I can proudly spell Clay Buchholz correctly, no matter how many times the rest of the blogging world forgets the second ‘h’ in his name.
We Should Be GM’s: Rudy Seanez is still alive and kicking. Better than that, he’s actually doing well in Philadelphia. He’s given up 13 walks in 19 innings while only striking out 9 people so it obviously won’t last forever but that 2.75 ERA is mighty alluring.
The Mets Police: The Mets have a 10.4% chance of making the playoffs this year? You can warp statistics to strengthen a lot of points but I can’t deny that things just don’t look good for the Mets right now.
The Slanch Report: Apparently Safeco Field and the Mariners hate gay people. Or at least they hate watching these two specific girls kiss each other at a baseball game. I kiss my girlfriend at baseball games, no reason this girl shouldn’t be able to kiss hers either.
Baseball Reflections: Can the Angels pitching really last long enough to get them into the postseason? Maybe, but it will be a close race with the also surprising-my-pants-off Athletics.
