Prospect Nick Hagadone to get Tommy John surgery

The Sox 2007 first-round draft pick, Nick Hagadone, is going to undergo TJ surgery and will miss the rest of the season. Hagadone spent a small portion of last year with the Lowell Spinners and put up a 1.85 ERA in 24.1 IP with 8 walks and 33 strikeouts.

Bobby Kielty has hand surgery

I’m afraid I’ve got more bad news on the injury front. OF Bobby Kielty (currently on the DL in Pawtucket) has had surgery on his left hand to remove a bone spur. He will be out 4-6 weeks at the minimum.

Bryan Corey is back!

Pitcher Justin Masterson was sent back down to the minors today and reliever Bryan Corey was brought up in his place.  Masterson just finished a somewhat brilliant major league debut as he went 6 innings yesterday, only yielding 2 hits and 1 run.

I’m sorry everyone.  I missed the most news-packed portion of the season thus far because my hard drive on my personal computer crashed.  I essentially lost the last 10 years of my life (digital pictures, e-mails, etc.) and I’m still pretty upset about it.  Unfortunately I wasn’t smart enough to keep backups either.
