* – Julian Tavarez relieved Jon Lester in the 5th with the bases juiced and 1 out. He promptly struck out both hitters he faced and killed the Indians rally. He then proceeded to pitch another 2 innings, only giving up 2 hits and recording another 2 K’s. Despite Manny’s absolute bomb of a HR off closer Joe Borowski in the top of the 9th to take the lead, Tavarez is MY player of the game.
