Bobby Kielty accepts his demotion to Pawtucket

Outfielder Bobby Kielty decided to accept his assignment to Pawtucket rather than opt-out of his contract. Theo Epstein gave Kielty an extra day to decide what he wanted to do and to see if he could find a backup job with another ballclub rather than head to the minors.
Kielty will more than likely be called up the instant Coco is traded, IF Coco is traded.
