Pitcher Mike Timlin has been put on the disabled list.  It will be retroactive to March 20th which means he will be available to come off on April 4th.

Rule-5 pick Jose Capellan returned to Boston

The Cincinnati Reds gave the Red Sox their Rule-5 draft pick back today.   José M. Capellán (the left-hander, not the José Capellán on the Colorado Rockies) was sent back to Boston and is expected to start the year with the Lowell Spinners at A-ball.
