Pedro at a cockfight?

My mission wasn’t to turn this blog into some sort of sports version of Entertainment Tonight, Deadspin already did that, but when there is a video of former Red Sox great Pedro Martinez at a cockfight .. I can’t help myself.
The Associated Press reports that Petey and Juan Marichal (ALSO a former Sox pitcher, if only for a quarter of a season) were videotaped releasing roosters at a Dominican Republic sanctioned good old fashioned cockfight. Apparently the two former pitchers were honorary “soltadores” at the event. This means that they were the people that released the birds into the arena and nothing else.
The video was posted on YouTube but has since been removed for a terms of service violation aka YouTube doesn’t want to be known as “that site with the cockfighting vids!”
The really bad news? Pedro’s rooster got it’s ass kicked.
